Evaluation de l’angiogenese dans les carcinomes prostatiques
Frincu D.L., Francu L.L., Roznovanu D., Radulescu D., Ghibirsina C., Cozma L.

ABSTRACT. Introduction. The prostate carcinoma represents one of the most frequent malignant tumors in male. Great progresses were made in the understanding of the mechanisms of the appearance and evolution of the tumors, and also in the early diagnosis of them. In the present time, the discussions are centered on the angiogenesis and the neovascularisation. During the researches regarding the new factors of prognosis in prostate carcinomas, we are interesting firstly in the study of neoangiogenesis and its predictive role. Material and methods. The microanatomic quantitative study was made on fragments which were processed from prostate tumors (ductal and acinar carcinomas, intraepithelial neoplasias). The sections were stained specific immunohistochemically (CD34) and examined with an interactive digital program. Results. We have quantified the density of the microvessels/mm2 tumor stroma and the density of the microvessels/mm2 tumor. The preliminary results regarding the study of the microvessels in prostate carcinomas show a positive correlation between the density and the evolution of the tumor, the angiogenetic process rises simultaneously with the risk of metastasis. Conclusion. This study shows a significant correlation between the density of vessels and the evolution of the prostate carcinomas, the appearance of recurrences and metastasis. The quantification of the angiogenesis is an indicator with an high degree of precision, with is used for the detection of the aggressiveness and malignancy of the prostate tumors.

Le mesenchyme parietal dans l’ontogénèse
Lazar L. Onisai

ABSTRACT. The antero-lateral abdominal wall is a real mosaic from it’s origin point of view. The muscles are developing from the mesenchyme brought by the cranial, the caudal and the two lateral folds. The nerves are derived from ectoderm. Some of these structures are developing quicker and they will act as inductor factors modeling the dynamics of other elements.

Hemoragia digestiva superioara la pacientii cu cancere gastrointestinale
Luana Alexandrescu, E. Dumitru, Andra Iulia Suceveanu, A. P. Suceveanu, Laura Ene

ABSTRACT. Upper gastrointestinal bleeding in pacients with gastrointestinal cancer is a major health problem. In addition to various types of cancer of the gastrointestinal tract, common causes of upper gastrointestinal bleeding include peptic ulcer disease, Mallory-Weiss tears, esophageal varices, and angiodysplasia. Endoscopic management of these bleedings is yet to be defined due to the lession heterogenity. The aim of the present study was to review endoscopic findings, treatment, and clinical outcomes in patients with severe upper gastrointestinal bleeding due to tumors. Endoscopic hemostasis with alcohol or epinephrine injection, APC or both, was carried out with successful hemostasis in majority of the tumors. Endoscopic hemostasis of bleeding upper gastrointestinal tumors is safe and initially effective, and may provide time for elective surgical palliation. Regardless of therapy, upper gastrointestinal tumors with severe bleeding have a poor one-year survival.
